Silver Palace has revealed the official character title page for Rex, confirming his class as Superintendent of the River Constabulary. His tagline reads: The Scales of Black and White.

Who is Rex?

"Enforcers of the law must show no leniency to maintain its authority."

The title page's flavor text lays out his philosophy in full:

A young superintendent who is quick to step up in times of crisis, with a belief in order that borders on the fanatical.
Right and wrong. Black and white. The law knows no compromise.
To enforce the law, one must cast out all notions of mercy.
For in his eyes, evil has no shades of grey.

That framing lines up with everything the Rex kit reveal already showed: a lightning-wielding enforcer whose ultimate, Thunderous Judgement, is named exactly what it sounds like.

What the title page tells us

The art shows Rex in full uniform: a black double-breasted coat over a red shirt and tie, a peaked officer's cap, a fingerless glove, and knee-high boots, flanked by two Doberman police dogs on studded leashes. A badge reading "River Constabulary" sits above his name, with "Superintendent" printed beneath it and the tagline "The Scales of Black and White" along the left edge. The Silver Palace logo appears in the top right, and the piece is credited to Elementa.

The two Dobermans at his side are a direct visual match for the police dogs summoned in his Thunderous Judgement ultimate and Exemplar Enforcer tactical assault, so this title page reads as confirmation art for a kit that was already previewed, not a brand-new gameplay reveal.

Rex's dogs are named Radar and Chalky

In-game cutscene dialogue names the two Dobermans directly. After a confrontation, Rex praises them by name: "Good job, Radar, Chalky... You both get bones tonight." That confirms Radar and Chalky as the names of his police dog partners, the same pair that appears on his title page art and gets summoned in his Thunderous Judgement ultimate.

The rank has paperwork behind it. The Royal Navy's Notice of Appointment, one of the in-game documents in the Classical Curations collection, is the order that created the post: a Superintendent "trained in military discipline" given supervisory authority over the River Constabulary because of the force's "unsatisfactory rate of case resolution." The notice also orders that it be read aloud to all personnel on receipt, so every constable Rex now outranks heard why he was sent. It is a useful piece of context for a character whose title page sells him on uncompromising order.

Rex has been a recurring face across Silver Palace trailers and is tied narratively to the Queen of Hearts curse from Alice in Wonderland (CV: Tachibana Shinnosuke). His kit is a Fulmen (Lightning) Resonance DPS built on a dual truncheon-and-nunchuck Composite Club, and this title page formalizes "Superintendent" as his in-universe rank rather than just a preview-build label.

Signature Move: After using Skill: Dual Truncheons, press the Basic Attack button for a 2-hit truncheon combo, dealing Fulmen DMG and granting 15 Rage per hit. Incoming DMG is reduced by 20% during the attack. Chains into the 3rd hit of the Basic Attack combo.

Charged Signature Move: After using Skill: Dual Truncheons, hold the Basic Attack button to Dash in and swing the truncheon upward, dealing Fulmen DMG and granting 20 Rage. Incoming DMG is reduced by 20% during the attack. Chains into the 3rd hit of the Basic Attack combo.

Adaptive Rule (Skill)

Skill: Dual Truncheons: Press the Skill button while having enough Rage to consume 60 Rage and unleash a somersaulting truncheon attack, dealing Fulmen DMG and gaining 1 Volt Charge. Incoming DMG is negated during the attack. When it ends, press Basic Attack for a Signature Move, hold Basic Attack for a Charged Signature Move, or press Skill for Skill: Extended Truncheon.

Skill: Extended Truncheon: Press the Skill button while having enough Rage right after Skill: Dual Truncheons to consume 60 Rage and swing the truncheon in a flurry of attacks, dealing Fulmen DMG and gaining 1 Volt Charge. Incoming DMG is negated. Chains into the 4th hit of the Basic Attack combo.

Skill: Nunchucks Law: Once Volt Charge is full, press the Skill button to unleash a storm of nunchuck strikes and a powerful lightning strike, dealing Fulmen DMG. Incoming DMG is negated during the attack. Max Rage: 120. Rage gained per second: 1.

Thunderous Judgement (Ultimate)

Upon reaching full charge, press the Ultimate button to unleash two police dogs in a coordinated attack before summoning a huge lightning strike, dealing massive Fulmen DMG and gaining 120 Rage.

Exemplar Enforcer (Tactical Assault)

Switch in the selected character while having sufficient Reactor Energy to deal Fulmen DMG by calling down truncheon lightning strikes and unleashing police dogs.

Righteous Spirit (Passive)

Dealing DMG with Signature Moves grants 7% ATK for 16s, stacking up to 4 times. The duration is refreshed each time this effect activates. Fulmen Resonance Effects deal 2 additional instances of Fulmen DMG.

In the Story: Dichotomy Beta

Rex is the superintendent the Navy sends to oversee the River Constabulary, and his order-first zeal keeps putting him at odds with the Detective. He seizes Grimm's body, bars the Detective as a civilian, and later names them the prime suspect in the Williams grave-robbing. His Doberman police dogs, Radar and Chalky, are at his side.
