Grimm (Journalist): Silver Palace Character Title Page
Silver Palace's Grimm is a confirmed 4-star Fulmen Combat Support: a S.T.A.T.S. Journalist whose camera kit shreds enemy Fulmen RES for the team.
Silver-tongued Headliner
Journalist
★★★★
"Undocumented truth is really flimsy. Direct confrontation is not my thing. I fight my battles elsewhere." A young journalist born into the lower levels of society, he is an ambitious fellow with a mind just as sharp as his tongue. A chronicler of modern society, he never hesitates to risk danger when opportunity knocks. Whether denouncing scandals or giving a voice to the sadly departed, he believes that the truth is all-powerful and must be heard. Revealed as a Journalist of S.T.A.T.S. (Surveillance, Tracking, and Troubleshooting Services) and confirmed as a Fulmen Combat Support with a Witness identity. His camera kit debuffs enemy Fulmen RES with News Target, Photo Evidence, and Full Exposé. The Chapter I case that reads as Grimm's death is in fact his own staged disappearance.
In the Dichotomy Beta story, Grimm is a brash photojournalist who once trailed the Detective's cases and ghost-wrote some of the newspaper reports that made them famous. Chasing a story he swears will finally make his name, he is soon found seemingly burned to death in an alley, in a manner matching the Nameless Ashes.
The death turns out to be staged. Grimm coats a substitute corpse in a heat-absorbing fireproofing agent, fakes the burning to escape whoever wants him silenced, and hides his notebook in the safest place imaginable: the office of the Detective the city believed was his enemy, the very break-in Alf had chased off. That notebook renames the Nameless Ashes the 'Cinderellas' and points the Detective toward the factory. Read the full case in the Silver Palace story recap.
